Natural Raw Biochar – Air-Dried & Sustainably Made in the UK

Available in 2.5L, 5L & 10L Sizes

Our raw biochar is air-dried outdoors with no artificial heat or chemical processing – just pure, natural carbon. Handled with care and sustainably produced in the UK, it’s not unusual to spot the odd leaf or twig in your bag – a reminder that this soil improver is as close to nature as it gets.

Perfect for UK gardeners, allotmenteers, and container growers, biochar enhances soil structure, boosts nutrient retention, and improves water-holding capacity. Whether you're growing veg, herbs, flowers, or fruit, adding biochar to your soil can increase plant vitality and reduce the need for chemical fertilisers.

It also helps lock carbon into the ground, making it a powerful tool for reducing your carbon footprint and supporting eco-friendly, regenerative gardening.

Choose Your Size:

✅ 2.5L Raw Biochar

Perfect for pots, plant containers, or small garden patches. Covers approximately 0.5–1 square metre, depending on how deeply it's mixed into the soil. Great for balcony gardens or testing biochar on a small scale.

✅ 5L Raw Biochar

Ideal for a couple of raised beds, patio planters, or mid-sized garden containers. Covers around 1–2 square metres. A great choice for keen home growers looking to improve soil health naturally.

✅ 10L Raw Biochar

Best for larger vegetable beds, allotment rows, or spring soil preparation. Treats 2–4 square metres, depending on soil type and depth of application. An excellent value for gardeners with bigger spaces or long-term projects.

🔋 Important Note: This is raw biochar and must be charged before use. We recommend soaking it in compost tea, liquid feed, worm castings, or nutrient-rich compost for a few days before mixing into soil. Charging ensures nutrients are held in the biochar and made available to your plants – avoiding potential nutrient lock-up.
